Vale of Rheidol diesel engine #10 shunts carriages into and out of the Aberystwyth engine shed.  #10 is a 1987 addition to the VoR stables, having been built for the Rheidol by Brecon Mountain Railway, from kit parts originally manufactured by Baguley Drewry for a plantation railway in Africa.  The tiny six-coupled diesel employs direct drive, with a crank mounted under the driver's cabin linked by rods to the three axles.
