John Gwynne at the Radio Token Dispatching Center

John Gwynne takes a call from a maintenance of way foreman at his station by the Radio Token dispatching system in the Machynlleth cabin. The three video consoles display track schematics covering the entire Cambrian Railways route structure; John uses the large color-coded keyboard to issue radio tokens to the trains and to lineside maintenance crews. On the wall behind John's shoulder are two handsomely framed historic maps of the Cambrian Railway routes in different eras; on the desk under the maps lies John's handy copy of R.W. Kidner's authoritative history of the line. John is a fan and a historian as well as professional railwayman.
