| Talyllyn: The World's First Preserved Railway |
| Talyllyn Railway #7, the Tom Rolt, strikes a dramatic pose against the background of the Welsh hills at Nant Gwernol. The Tom Rolt, an 0-4-2T side tanker, was completed in the Talyllyn's own shops in 1991, using the boiler, wheels, cylinders, and piston valves of a 1948 3' gauge 0-4-0 which had been built by Barclay Locomotive for the Bord na Mona (Irish Turf Board). |
