| The Last Coal Road |

| #14 nuzzles up to the coal dock so her fireman can top off her tender. To express her approval of the whole procedure, #14 has chosen this moment to pop off her safety valve. The standpipe to the right was carefully positioned to water engines on either the coal dock track or the adjoining main line. Fed from a reservoir located on Blacklog Mountain above the coal dock, it is still in daily use. A second plug located back near the ash pit and sand house is no longer serviceable. |
